The 2017–18 season is Walsall's 130th season in their existence and their eleventh consecutive season in League One.[1] Along with competing in League One, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, League Cup and EFL Trophy.

The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018.

Friendlies

As of 7 June 2017, Walsall have announced eight pre-season friendlies against Aston Villa, Solihull Moors, Stafford Rangers, Rushall Olympic,[2] West Bromwich Albion,[3] Chester[4] Lincoln City and Chasetown.[5]
