Season overview

June

On 13 June Atlético reached an agreement with Antoine Griezmann for the extension of his contract for one more season, until the 30th June of 2022.[1] On 30 June, the club and Alessio Cerci have reached an agreement of contract termination.[2]

July

Atlético has reached an agreement with Saúl for the extension of his contract for five more seasons, until the 30th June 2026.[3] On 5 July, Atlético and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Theo Hernández.[4] That same day, the club announced an agreement with Fernando Torres who signed a one-year contract for the 2017–18 season.[5] On 12 July the club reached an agreement with Vitolo, for the next five years after he was rescinded his contract with Sevilla. Due to FIFA’s sanction that forbids the club from registering football players during the current summer market, the player will play the first half of the season loaned to Las Palmas and will join to the team starting on January 1st, 2018.[6] Atlético and Sporting de Braga have reached an agreement for the loan of André Moreira.[7]
