The 2015–16 season was AEK Athens Football Club's 55th competitive season in the top flight of Greek football, 7th season in the Super League Greece, and 91st year in existence as a football club. They also competed in the Greek Cup.

On 20 October 2015, Traianos Dellas quits as AEK Athens F.C. coach after 2 and a half years and 21 October 2015 Stelios Manolas AEK's under-20 coach will take up the post on an interim basis until a new coach is found.[1] On 29 October 2015,[2] Gus Poyet reached an agreement with AEK Athens F.C. and on 30 October sign contract[3] with AEK Athens F.C., the agreement is until the summer of 2016 with renewal option for two years, a discussion that will take place towards the end of the period.
