The 2014–15 Académico/83 season were in the island division of football (soccer). The club won the 9th Maio championship and entered the 2015 Cape Verdean Football Championships in Group A.[1]
The club had a total of 25 points (19 in the regionals and 6 in the nationals), and 25 goals (20 goals in the regionals and 5 goals in the nationals). In the regionals, the club also had 6 wins, a draw and a loss[2]
Maio Island League[1]
The first four games were played at home, inbetween the club had a bye week, the last four games were played away, the club had a bye week in the final week of the season. The first two matches were victorious defeated Académica da Calheta and Santana de Morrinho. The club's only loss of the season was on February 15 to Morrerense 0-1. Académico '83 went on a three game winning streak defeating Onze Unidos 2-0, Académica da Calheta 0-2 on March 15 and Santana de Morrinho 1-1. Académico '83 was tied with Morrerense a goal each made it club's only draw of the season. Their final matches was on April 4 and defeated Onze Unidos 0-5 making it the highest scoring match of the island league and the most victorious. After the following week, Académico '83 claimed the 9th title and went on to compete in the national championships.[2][3]

Cape Verdean National League
The club participated in Group A and finished fourth. Their first match was with Académica that took place in Porto Novo and lost by a goal, the club returned to the island to face Paulense a week later and lost 1-3. Académico '83 headed to Fogo and challenged Spartak d'Aguadinha and defeated 1-2, then the club returned home to face Académica Operária, the regional winner from north of the island and won 2-0 and completed their two game winning streak, the club's final match of the season was against FC Derby on June 7 and lost 4-0.[1]

Maio (Djarmai) Super Cup
Académico 83, the 2015 regional champion faced the 2015 cup winner Onze Unidos in November and lost the super cup match.
