Pre-season

Bangor sign Lee Idzi[1][2] and Kyle Wilson.[3][4]

Due to the Welsh Premier League's standing in the UEFA league coefficient[5] and their previous seasons Bangor City would compete as the Welsh reperestitive in the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League, starting in the Second qualifying round.[6] On 20 June 2011, the draw for the second qualifying round, which took place at the UEFA headquarters Nyon, Switzerland, saw 'The Citizens' drawn against HJK Helsinki.[7]

Starting their pre-season friendlies early, the next evening, Bangor City would travel to Lon Groes, home of CPD Gaerwen to face the Ynys Môn (Island Games Team), who were preparing for their 2011 Island Games campaign.[8][9]

[10]

July

Bangor City where honoured by the city council.[11]

Bangor City would next travel to Rhyl and to the Belle Vue, home of former Welsh Premier League rivals Rhyl for a warm up match on the pitch they would be welcoming Helsinki.[12]

After the European game Bangor expressed their thanks to Rhyl.[13]
