The 2010 ICC Awards were held on 6 October 2010 in Bengaluru, India, in association with the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations.[1]

The International Cricket Council has been hosting the ICC Awards since 2004. Previous events have been held in London, Sydney, Mumbai, Johannesburg and Dubai.

The ICC awards the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy to the Cricketer of the Year, which is considered to be the most prestigious award in world cricket.

Selection panel

The nominations for seven of the awards were made by a five-man ICC selection panel chaired by ICC Cricket Hall of Famer, Clive Lloyd. The ICC Awards panel consists of top cricket players and administrators from around the world. It was charged with two main tasks: providing a long-list of nominations to the 25 members of the voting academy to cast their votes in the individual player award categories and, using their experience and knowledge, select the ICC World Test and ODI teams.[2]
