2000 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team
The 2000 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team represented Texas Tech University in the Big 12 Conference (Big 12) during the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their first season under head coach Mike Leach, the Red Raiders compiled a 7–6 record (3–5 against Big 12 opponents), finished in fourth place in Southern Division of the Big 12, and outscored opponents by a combined total of 330 to 278.[1] The team played its home games at Jones SBC Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.
