2000 Easter Sunday tornado outbreak
The 2000 Easter Sunday tornado outbreak was a tornadic event which occurred in the Oklahoma-Texas-Arkansas-Louisiana areas on April 23, 2000. This severe weather occurrence was the result of a cold front moving through the area from north Texas resulting in the spawning of, at least, 6 supercell thunderstorms. A total of 33 tornadoes touched down within a 7 hour period on April 23, 2000. Fortunately, no fatalities resulted from these storms though reports indicate that, at least, 12 individuals were injured.[1]
