The 1st Guards Infantry Division (Russian: 1-я гвардейская пехотная дивизия) was an infantry formation of the Russian Imperial Army which was part of the Imperial Guard. It was headquartered in Saint Petersburg and was part of the 1st Guards Corps.
History
The unit was initially formed on 15 June 1807 as the 1st Infantry Division. It was renamed "Guards" Infantry Division on 11 November 1811. For most of its history it was stationed in St Petersburg and was part of the Petersburg Military District upon its creation.[1][2]

In 1813 it was divided into the 1st and 2nd Guards Infantry Division and there were two regiments left in the 1st:[1]
