The 1999 Hungarian Grand Prix (formally the XV Marlboro Magyar Nagydíj) was a Formula One motor race held on 15 August 1999 at the Hungaroring near Budapest, Hungary. It was the eleventh race of the 1999 Formula One season. The 77-lap race was won by Mika Häkkinen driving for the McLaren team after starting from pole position. David Coulthard finished second in the other McLaren with Eddie Irvine finishing third for Ferrari. The remaining points-scoring positions were filled by Heinz-Harald Frentzen (Jordan), Rubens Barrichello (Stewart) and Damon Hill (Jordan). Häkkinen's victory was his fourth of the season, and McLaren team's fifth.
