The 1999 Alaska Milkmen season was the 14th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Summary

All-Filipino Cup: Alaska lost their first three games but came back strongly with three straight wins, highlighted by Johnny Abarrientos' 35-point performance in their 88-87 win against Tanduay on March 7. ^[1] The Milkmen had an even 4-4 won-loss card in the first round of eliminations ^[2] and were tied with Tanduay and Shell with 9 wins and 7 losses after 16 games and seeded at number 3. Alaska were forced into a playoff by Purefoods but nonetheless prevailed over the Hotdogs in their do-or-die game to advance in the best-of-five semifinals against the Tanduay Rhum Masters. The Milkmen were beaten in four games and dethrone as champions by the returning PBA ballclub that had a strong frontline composed of powerhouse rookies Eric Menk and Sonny Alvarado.

Commissioner's Cup: Last year's best import Devin Davis will be playing his first full conference. The defending champions raced on top of the standings at six wins and two losses and had no trouble making it to the semifinals. Alaska played their championship rival last season, the San Miguel Beermen in the best-of-five semifinal series with a marquee match-up between Davis and San Miguel import Terquin Mott. The Milkmen led the series, two games to one, but the Beermen bounces back by winning the last two games to enter into the championship series against Shell. The Milkmen were booted out of the finals picture for the third straight conference.

Governors Cup: Sean Chambers is playing in his 11th season in the league. Alaska won their last game in the eliminations against Shell to finish at the fourth spot and a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals. They repeated over the Shell Turbo Chargers to enter into the semifinal series against top-seeded Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs. The Milkmen were able to retain their streak of a finals stint for the sixth straight season, scoring an easy 3-0 sweep over the Hotdogs, and once again battled their old rival San Miguel Beermen in the finals. Alaska lost in six games and settled for runner-up trophy, the Beermen swept the last three games of the title series for a 4-2 victory.
