- 1 April – Malaysian singer, Siti Nurhaliza won Bintang HMI.
- 26 April – The 1995 General Elections. Barisan Nasional (BN) wins this elections.
- April–December – The Sumur City Aerospace Adventure exhibition is held in Sumur City, Shah Alam.
- June – Proton Perdana, Malaysia's first luxury car is launched.
- 29 June – 20 people were killed in the landslide at Genting Highlands slip road near Karak Highway.
- 1 July – MetroVision was the second private commercial terrestrial television channel in Malaysia. It was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and broadcasts from Kuala Lumpur. The broadcast area was only limited to the Klang Valley, but expanded its broadcast area to Kedah and Johor.
- July – The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque in Kuala Terengganu is fully constructed. This is the first floating mosque in Malaysia.
- 10 July – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad celebrates his 70th birthday.
- August – Proton Satria hatchback is launched.
- 3 August – The KTM Komuter Malaysia's first commuter electrify train services begin in operation.
- 15 September – 34 people killed while 19 people are survive when Malaysia Airlines Flight 2133, a Fokker 50 plane, crash near Tawau Airport in Tawau, Sabah after a failed go-around.[1][2]
- October – Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) is launched.
- 19 October – The new federal administrative centre of Putrajaya is established.
- 1 November – Mega TV, Malaysian's first subscription-based cable television channel was launched grand opened inaugurated officially by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and broadcasts from Kuala Lumpur. This broadcast area was only limited to Klang Valley area, officially began transmissions after 14 days, 12 months of trial of broadcasters a subsidiary of TV3 was owner by STMB.[3]
- 29 November – Sabah Air Helicopter that brought 11 Petronas Worker crash at Samarang Sea around 10.30am on Wednesday
- 12 December – The STAR Light Rail Transit (LRT) (Light Rail Transit) began operations in Kuala Lumpur. It was the first LRT system in the city.
