The 1982 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship was the ninth edition of the tournament, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB. The 1982 edition of the tournament was held from September 12 to September 25, 1982, and had six venues in six different cities in Peru. The finals were held at Coliseo Amauta in Lima, Peru
