1980 October Revolution Parade

The 1980 October Revolution Parade was a parade on Red Square in Moscow on November 7, 1980 in honor of the 63th anniversary of the October Revolution. Taking the salute is Minister of Defense, Marshal of the Soviet Union Dmitriy Ustinov. Commanding his last parade is commander of the Moscow Military District, General of the Army Vladimir Govorov. The military music was performed by the Combined Orchestra of the Moscow Garrison conducted by Colonel Nikolai Mikhailov. Attending the parade was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Leonid Brezhnev , as well as the President of Ethiopia, Mengistu Haile Mariam.[1]
