The 1964 FA Cup Final was contested by West Ham United and Preston North End at Wembley. West Ham won 3–2, with goals from John Sissons, Geoff Hurst and Ronnie Boyce. Doug Holden and Alex Dawson scored Preston's goals.

Preston's Howard Kendall became the youngest player to play in a Wembley FA Cup Final, aged 17 years 345 days.[2]
