The 1960 Long Beach State 49ers football team represented Long Beach State College [note 1] during the 1960 College Division football season. The 49ers competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The team was led by head coach Don Reed, in his third year, and played home games at Veterans Stadium adjacent to the campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. They finished the season with a record of five wins, three losses and one tie (5–3–1, 3–1–1 CCAA).
