The 1926 Tempe State Bulldogs football team was an American football team that represented Tempe State Teachers College (later renamed Arizona State University) as an independent during the 1926 college football season. In their fourth season under head coach Aaron McCreary, the Bulldogs compiled a 4–1–1 record and outscored their opponents by a combined total of 97 to 42. Tempe State's team captain was Ernest "Bally" Simpkins. The Bulldogs finished (3-0-1) at home and (1-1) on the road. All home games were played at Normal Field in Tempe, Arizona.
Season Summary
In the season opener, Tempe State Teacher's College delivered a 35-0 road shutout victory over the Sacaton Indians. During the rivalry matchup in Tucson, the Bulldogs suffered a 35-0 road loss to Arizona. In the home opener at Normal Field, TSTC beat Phoenix College 28-7. The Bulldogs recorded a 20-0 shutout home win against Gila JC. Tempe State Teacher's College earned a 14-0 shutout home victory over NAU. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 0-0 tie against the Phoenix Indians in Tempe.
