16K resolution
The term 16K resolution refers to a display resolution that has 15360 horizontal pixels by 8640 vertical pixels, for a total of 132.7 megapixels.[1] It has 4 times as many pixels as 8K resolution and 64 times as many pixels as 1080p resolution.
History
AMD has announced a target for the future graphics cards to support 16K resolution with frame rate 240 Hz for 'true immersion' in VR.[2][3][4]
Linus Sebastian and his team assembled a gaming PC that was able to run games at a 16K resolution through the use of 16 individual 4K monitors and four Nvidia Quadro graphics cards.[5]
