.eco is a top-level domain (TLD). It was proposed in ICANN's new generic top-level domain (gTLD) program and became available to the general public on April 25, 2017.[2][3]
Big Room is the registry for the domain.[4] The company won the rights through a community application after assembling a coalition of more than 50 environmental organizations.[5] The registry is advised by a council of these organizations.[6]
