雨夜花,雨夜花,受風雨吹落地。無人看見,每日怨慼,花謝落塗不再回。 | Ú iā hue, ú iā hue, siū hong-ú tshue lo̍h tuē; bô lâng khuànn-kìnn, muí-ji̍t uàn-tsheh, hue siā lo̍h-thôo put-tsài huê. | Blossom in a stormy night, pelted to the ground by the rain and wind. All by my lonesome, no one sees my constant grief for the blossom falling into the dirt that has no hope of revival. |
花落塗,花落塗,有啥人通看顧?無情風雨,誤阮前途,花蕊若落欲如何? | Hue lo̍h thô͘, Hue lo̍h thô͘, ū siánn lâng thang khùann kò͘? Bô chêng hong hō͘ gō͘ guán chêng tô͘, Hue lúi ná boh lû hô? | Blossom fell into the dirt; who is there to care for it? The merciless rain and wind ruin my prospects; what else to do when the blossom fell into the dirt? |
雨無情,雨無情,無想阮的前程。並無看顧,軟弱心性,予阮前途失光明。 | Hō͘ bô chêng, hō͘ bô chêng, bô siūnn guán ê chêng tîng khùann kò͘ nńg lio̍h sim sèng, hō͘ goán chêng sit kong-bên | The cruel rain shows no mercy for my future. No one there to look after my vulnerable hearts; no light there to guide my future. |
雨水滴,雨水滴,引阮入受難池。怎樣予阮,離葉離枝,永遠無人通看見。 | Hō͘ tsúi tih, hō͘ tsúi tih, ín guán ji̍p lân tî. Chúann iūnn hō͘ guán, lī ia̍p lī ki éng oán bô lâng thang khùann- kìnn. | Rain is falling; it drowns me in the pond of suffering. Who can explain why the blossom fell off the leaves and trees, left deserted for no one to see? |
