Zvents

Zvents is an online entertainment guide that helps their users find local events. These events include music, art, sports, or activities. This website also allows event planners to gain more exposure for their event. With the increase in usage of social media going up each year, this company is a great way to easily browse fun things to do. Zvents works with hundreds of companies, listing events on their site as well as uploading the listing to their partners website.[1]

Zvents was founded in 2005 by Ethan Stock and Tyler Kovacs.[2] Its headquarters are located in San Mateo, California. It was first created to find events in the Bay Area, but has extended its services to most cities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland. In 2011, Zvents was bought out by Stubhub. This was a mutually beneficial partnership because Zvents increased Stubhub’s own event listings by a great deal. Although Zvents is not its own company any longer, as people continue to browse events on their mobile devices and computers the new company’s long term outlook is very good.
