Ziradei (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: जिरादेई सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Siwan district in the Indian state of Bihar.

Overview

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 106 Ziradei (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Ziradei, Nautan and Mairwa community development blocks.[1]

Ziradei (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 18 Siwan (Lok Sabha constituency) .[1]

Election results

1977-2010

In the 2010 state assembly elections, Asha Devi of BJP won the Ziradei assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Amarjeet Kushwaha of CPI(M-L)L.[2] Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Shyam Bahadur Singh of JD(U) defeated Azazul Haque of RJD in October 2005. Azazul Haque of RJD Shyam Bahadur Singh representing JD(U) in February 2005 and representing SAP in 2000. Mohammad Shahabuddin of JD defeated Srijay Kumar of SAP in 1995. Mohammad Shahabuddin, contesting as an Independent, defeated Tribhuvan Singh of Congress in 1990. Tribhuvan Singh of Congress defeated Abhay Kumar Pandey, Independent, in 1985. Raghav Prasad of Janata Party (Secular – Charan Singh) in 1980. Raja Ram Choudhary of Congress defeated Bipendra Kumar Verma of JP in 1977.[3]

Now once again ziradei voters are ready to caste their votes. Once again multi corner contest should take place. Present BJP Mla Asha pathak have restore the faith. Mahagathbandhan yet not decided about the candidate which creates a confusion for the people of this constituency. CPI(M-L) will play a prominent role in upcoming assembly election. A survey reports had said (reports based on the survey conducted in the middle of August 2015)
