Zee Bandhan is a general entertainment channel that replaced Zee Smile TV.
The Broadcasters of this channel decided to shut it down w.e.f 15 January 2013. Zee Bandhan Channel will be available on DD Free Dish from 18 May 2013.
The channel was established by Essel Group under the stewardship of Ashish Kaul, VP of Corporate Brand Development[1] and Nitin Vaidya, business head of Smile TV.[2] Along with sitcoms, the channel also broadcast game shows, comedy chat shows, and comedy movies. The channel also acquired various comic formats from other countries as well as Indian formats in a plan to generate more revenue.[3]
