Zako Heskija, Зако Хеския, also:Zako Heskia or "Sako Cheskija" (21 September 1922 3 June 2006) was a Bulgarian film director and writer.

Heskia became in 1966 international audience for "Gorechto Pladne" (Torrid Noon), the first Bulgarian contribution to the Cannes Film Festival and a nomination for the Palme d'Or. In 1981 he won the spezial prize at the 12th Moscow International Film Festival for Yo Ho Ho.[1]

Zako Heskia works together with the former state Boyana Film Studio in Sofia.
