Background
Weiner is known for starting, incubating and selling numerous known firms within the marketing and communications industry. Weiner was born October 15, 1980 and grew up in a suburb of Chicago named Buffalo Grove. He attended Stevenson High School and proceeded to receive his education at Indiana University where he studied psychology with a minor in business. Zachary is also actively engaged in extreme sports and taught martial arts for the Illinois Shotokan Karate Club.[3]
Business
Emerging Insider Communications was founded by Weiner in 2012, claiming itself as the World's first "Content Relations" agency.[4] Their titling was maintained by the notion that traditional Public relations had been left lacking in the wake of the digital age and evolutions across the media space. Emerging Insider believed that by targeting highly specific audiences across a blend of earned, owned and paid media, communications success could be generated. Emerging Insider works with both startups and brands across b2b and b2c, having earned their reputation from their emerging media and technology practice. The Emerging Insider team is often quoted across marketing,[5] technology[6] and media publications.[7][8][9]
Luxuryreach Inc was a boutique advertising agency located in Chicago. Weiner started this company in 2004 and The LuxuryReach Advertising group provided media planning, buying and consulting services to the luxury and financial community. They worked with clients and vendors on both a national as well as international scale, prior to their sale in 2010.[10] Weiner began work on this company after working in the advertising field with his previous company MW Media Inc.
Weiner's work with LuxuryReach Inc had initially created him as an often quoted source in the media and his commentary[11] is often sought out in the business world by major media outlets on various topics of general business, online marketing and advertising.[12][13][14][15]
CTV Advertising was founded by Weiner in July 2010. The group solely focused on the Connected/Smart Television marketing space. Connected Television as a new technology had been stated to be in its infancy which allowed CTV to claim they were the first firm to offer a diversity of marketing services with a 100% focus on connected TV.[10] CTV Advertising's website states that firm engages in creating and deploying branded TV Applications, optimizing TV websites, enhanced television media planning and buying as well as TV in-app advertising campaigns and inventory management. Connected TV Advertising is a new field in the realm of marketing.[16] CTV Advertising was sold by Weiner, although he continued to evangelize the Social TV,[17] multiscreen[18] and Digital Video[19] space.
Weiner also helped to found and then proceeded to sell his stake in the company MW Media Inc., a financial marketing organization.
