Yvette Carte-Blanche is a fictional character in the BBC sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!, which ran from 1982 to 1992. She was played by the actress Vicki Michelle.
Yvette works as a waitress during World War II at the Café René, but at night she makes money as a prostitute. Although she sells her body for paraffin, gasoline, sugar and butter, her only true love is René Artois. She is famous for her saying "Oh René" in a long growling tone. They are often caught by René's wife, Madame Edith, but the unfaithful husband always has a proper explanation for his behaviour, always beginning with "You stupid woman!".
Yvette's best friend is Maria Recamier, another café waitress, but Maria goes missing after series 3; she posts herself to Switzerland by mistake. After that, the Resistance member Mimi Labonq is hired as staff, but Yvette and Mimi develop quite a rivalry, usually beginning with Yvette making a joke about Mimi's small stature and ending with a catfight between the two.
In the last episode, many years after the war, her biggest dream is apparently fulfilled. The episode ends with René and Yvette driving off with the intention of eloping.
Vicki Michelle returned to the role of Yvette in the 2008 stage production of 'Allo 'Allo!. She is the only original member of the cast.
In Allo Allo!: The Complete War Diaries of Rene Artois, Yvette marries Lieutenant Fairfax, one of the British airmen, and the couple have a son named Rene.
