Yukina Kashiwa (柏 幸奈 Kashiwa Yukina, born August 12, 1994 in Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese actress and former idol singer. She is a former member of the girl groups Momoiro Clover[1] and Nogizaka46.[2]
Career
As a child actress, Yukina Kashiwa acted in many tokusatsu dramas, including Tokusō Sentai Dekaranger, Garo, and Madan Senki Ryukendo.[3][4]
In 2007, at the age of 13, she played the main character (a boy named Negi Springfield) in Negima! Magister Negi Magi, a 25-episode live-action TV series based on the manga and anime of the same name.[4]
On November 23, 2008, Yukina Kashiwa, together with Ayaka Sasaki and Akari Hayami, joined her talent agency Stardust Promotion's girl group Momoiro Clover, which at the same time announced the upcoming release of its first single "Momoiro Punch".[5] But on March 9 of the following year Kashiwa already left the group,[6] which had not debuted yet.
On August 21, 2011, after having passed the audition for the girl idol group Nogizaka46, she became its first generation member.[7][8][9]
On November 12, 2013, the Nogizaka46 website informed that Yukina Kashiwa and Seira Miyazawa were to graduate from the group at the "Girl's Rule" special event that had been scheduled to he held on Sunday, November 17. According to the website announcement, Yukina Kashiwa's reason was she wanted to concentrate on her studies.[10]
