The yellow-spotted petronia (Petronia pyrgita) is a species of bird in the sparrow family Passeridae.
It is found in Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are dry savannah and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.[2]
