Yao Christian is an Ivorian footballer. He was born 17 June 1989 in Dabou. He plays as a centre back in Thailand.[1]
He started playing football at age 7 years in a tournament in Ivory Coast known as “GUMBO”. He had participated in tournaments such as the Academy Tournament of ASEC Mimosas. At age 15, Yao spent two years at a club that could offer him playing time. He signed in the club of FC Bettie Abengourou in 2006. He flew to China to start his professional career.
He then signed with Chanthaburi F.C. (division 1, Thailand) for 2 years. Chiangmai F.C. signed him in 2010. In that year the club reached division superior. He played for this team 2 years and was a captain for 2 years. In 2012 he earned a trial with English football clubs including Bristol City F.C., Barnet F.C. and Stevenage F.C., but failed to secure a contract. He then signed in 2012 with Phayao F.C. (division 2, Thailand).
