Yanamaray (Quechua yana black, maran, maray batan or grindstone, maray to tear down, to knock down,[3][4] "black batan or grindstone") is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,237 metres (17,182 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Recuay Province, Ticapampa District, and in the Huari Province, Chavin de Huantar District.[5][1] Yanamaray lies east of Pukarahu and northeast of the lake named Qiruqucha, between Yanarahu and Khuchimach'ay in the north and Qawish in the south.

The Yanamaray River originates west of the mountain. It provides Qiruqucha with the melt water of the Yanamaray glacier before it empties into Santa River.

Annual observations have shown that the Yanamaray glacier has been rapidly retreating over the last years.[6]
