TVMÁS HD is the state-owned public broadcaster serving the Mexican state of Veracruz.[1]
TVMÁS was established in January 1980 by the Secretaría de Educación y Cultura of Veracruz, after receiving its permit on October 23, 1978.[2] XHGV, a landmark venture into television by state government, was conceived as a center for audiovisual production and educational/cultural broadcasting. Its mandate includes coverage of subjects such as security and civil defense, health and justice, food, economic development, protection of nature and the environment as well as the promotion of civic values within Veracruzan society.
It is the sister to the Radiomás state radio network.
