Wright's Pies (Shelton) Ltd. is a manufacturer of baked goods and confectionery based in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
History
The company was founded in 1926 by John James Wright and is still family-owned. In 1926, John Wright started making pies from the front room of his terraced house in Stoke-on-Trent. The Stoke-on-Trent factory is now used for confectionery production with the main premises based in Crewe.
Retail
Wright's have 13 of their own retail outlets. College Road Stoke, Northwood, Stoke, Burslem, Tunstall, Rugeley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Hanley, Fenton, Meir, Leek, Bilston Kidsgrove & Biddulph. There are also two franchises:
- Rob Walleys Shops - Campbell Road Stoke & Longton
- Neil Woods Shops - Biddulph & Hanford
Wholesale
Wright's operates a fresh wholesale delivery service operating from Crewe. Deliveries can be made to Manchester, North Wales, Derby and Birmingham. Freshly baked pies & savouries, confectionery and sandwiches are available Monday to Saturday.
Frozen
Wright's also have a frozen food delivery operation which gives you the option of ready baked frozen products or frozen un-baked products which you can then bake off as you need them. Wright's now exports to over 26 countries.
Overall, the company is capable of producing over 5 million individual items every week.
