2011 administrative reorganisation
Prior to the 2011 administrative reorganisation of the subdivisions of Ivory Coast, Worodougou was a first-level subdivision and was divided into five departments: Dianra, Kani, Kounahiri, Mankono, and Séguéla. In the 2011 administrative reorganization, Worodougou was merged with Bafing Region to create Woroba District. The departments of Dianra, Kounahiri, and Mankono were separated from Worodougou and became Béré Region, a third region of Woroba District.
