HarbourFront Centre is a shopping mall and ferry terminal that connects to nearby Indonesian ports, as well as the city of Batam and Bintan Island. It is at 1 Maritime Square, Telok Blangah in the Bukit Merah Planning Area, Singapore. The mall is part of a development known as HarbourFront which is connected to VivoCity, the country's largest shopping mall. It was formerly known as World Trade Centre, of which it is built in 1977, and was renovated beginning January 2000 with a connection to HarbourFront MRT Station, and was reopened on 20 June 2003, at the same time with HarbourFront MRT Station.
HarbourFront Centre is directly connected to HarbourFront MRT station of the Mass Rapid Transit, The Circle Line and the Singapore Cruise Centre is in the building. HarbourFront Bus Interchange is directly opposite Telok Blangah Road. Towards the west of HarbourFront Centre are HarbourFront Tower 1, HarbourFront Tower 2 and Keppel Bay Tower; all are office buildings. The Sentosa Cable Car station is housed in HarbourFront Tower 2. All buildings are connected to HarbourFront Centre.
HarbourFront Centre houses tenants such as KFC, The Body Shop, Mothercare's flagship store, Gymboree Play & Music, Kumon Learning Centre, Chef's Noodle, Pizza Hut, DMK, Hang Ten, Triumph, Glitter Glam, Yishion, POA, GOLDLION, DBS, OCBC, Sakae Sushi, BreadTalk, McDonald's, Food Junction, Taste Original (organic food), Bottles & Bottles Harry's Bar, Subway, Cold Storage, Eu Yan Sang TCM, Unity Denticare, Raffles Medical Group, Guardian Pharmacy, Cheers, Watsons, True Fitness, Bikram Yoga and many more.
When HarbourFront Centre was known as World Trade Centre, it featured exhibition halls. These halls have since been demolished after the 9/11 incident that occurred in the US, and major exhibitions now take place at the Singapore Expo and Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Presently VivoCity occupies the land where the exhibition halls used to be.
HarbourFront Centre (World Trade Centre) hosted Miss Universe Pageant in 1987. It also houses the Honorary Consulate of Ivory Coast on the 9th floor of the building.
