William S. Allen
William S. Allen (1888 – 1951) was the Iowa Secretary of State from 1913 until 1918.[1]
He was born in 1888 in Morning Sun, Iowa to Charles B. Allen (1849 – 1911) and Clara Jane Weaver (1860 – 1923). Allen had one brother, Harry J. Allen (November 22, 1893 – October 18, 1986). On September 8, 1914 he married Gladys F. Bonner (1887 – 1978), daughter of J. F. Bonner and Sarah B. Wilson.[1][2]
He died in 1951 (aged 62–63).
