William S. Allen

Allen in 1913

William S. Allen (1888 1951) was the Iowa Secretary of State from 1913 until 1918.[1]

He was born in 1888 in Morning Sun, Iowa to Charles B. Allen (1849 1911) and Clara Jane Weaver (1860 1923). Allen had one brother, Harry J. Allen (November 22, 1893 October 18, 1986). On September 8, 1914 he married Gladys F. Bonner (1887 1978), daughter of J. F. Bonner and Sarah B. Wilson.[1][2]

He died in 1951 (aged 6263).
