William Lindsay (minister)
William Lindsay (1802–1866), was a United Presbyterian Minister who studied at Glasgow University and the theological hall in Paisley. He was ordained in 1830 and appointed professor of exegetical theology and biblical criticism by the relief synod. He gained is Dr. Divinity at Glasgow in 1844. He was professor of sacred languages and biblical criticism on the staff of the United Presbyterian Hall, Glasgow in 1847, and professor of exegetical theology in 1858.[1]
