William Gwyther
William Clements Gwyther was an Anglican priest in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
He was born in Daviot, Aberdeenshire on 19 September 1866 and educated at University College School [1] and Keble College, Oxford and ordained in 1895.[2] After curacies at St Margaret Roath and All Saints’ Bristol he was Chaplain of St Ninian's Cathedral, Perth. He was Rector of St James’, Dollar and then St Mary’s Dunkeld [3] after which he was Dean of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane [4] from 1938 until his death on 22 February 1940.[5]
