Wild Horse Motorsports Park is a motorsports venue in Chandler, Arizona, near Phoenix. It features a quarter-mile dragstrip, road course and an off-road course.

History

The facility opened as Firebird International Raceway in 1983 and hosts the NHRA's Arizona Nationals. It held one IMSA GT race, in 1987. Due to its warm climate, it is a popular winter testing spot for NHRA and IndyCar teams.

The venue has hosted an array of auto enthusiast events like the NHRA Arizona Nationals, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, the Checkered Flag Run and Monster Truck shows.

The lease between former track president Charlie Allen and the Gila River Indian Community expired and was not renewed.[1] A new management company, Copper Train Development Partners, LLC, has signed a contract to operate the facility, which has been renamed Wild Horse Motorsports Park.[2]
