Wiesław Z. Wiśniewski

Wiesław Z. Wiśniewski (1931 in Poland – 1994 in Tucson, Arizona, USA) was a Polish astronomer. Wisniewski Educated in Poland, Wisniewski moved in 1963 to the USA to work an astronomy professor at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory in Tucson Arizona. Wiesniewski returned to Poland, but eventually made his permanent home in Tucson, Arizona in 1971.


His main interests were comets and planetoids.

Wisniewski was heavily involved in CCD Photometry which he learned while working with Harold Johnson at the Lunar and Planetary Observatory.
