Wien's law
Wien's law or Wien law may refer to:
- Wien approximation, an equation used to describe the short-wavelength (high frequency) spectrum of thermal radiation
- Wien's displacement law, an equation that describes the relationship between the temperature of an object and the peak wavelength or frequency of the emitted light
this implies that hotter objects will emit more of its radiation at a shorter wave length while colder or low temperature objects will emit more radiation at a longer wave length. For instance the sun with a high temperature of about 6000k will produce More radiation at a shorter wave length while the earth's surface with a low temperature of about 15c will emit radiation at a longer wave length
