Wet Palms

Wet Palms is a gay pornographic serial produced for the U.S. market and originally distributed on a gay adult pay-per-view content website.

There are nine episodes, told in hour-long installments, each first released as streaming video online, then released on DVD months later. The first episode was shown in September 2004, with the tag line "Low Rent. High Drama." and patterned after nighttime television soap operas such as Melrose Place, with exaggerated and overly melodramatic and catty dialogue.

Writers Jack Shamama and Michael Stabile won the 2005 GayVN Awards for Best Comedy and Best Screenplay.

In the manner of a television serial, Wet Palms ended its first season with a cliffhanger, with Lucky Hanson apparently being killed and another arrested. Jet Set has periodically discussed reviving the series which was shelved after the ninth episode due to the changing schedules of the cast members and the large expenditure required to produce a series so large in scope.
