West Virginia Route 93 is an east–west state highway located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. The western terminus of the route is at West Virginia Route 32 in Davis, Tucker County. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 50 southwest of Claysville, Mineral County.
WV 93 runs concurrent with West Virginia Route 42 upon descending the Allegheny Front. Under the current plans for Corridor H, WV 93 would be directly upgraded to a four-lane divided highway between Davis (WV 32) and Bismarck (west of WV 42).[2]
Planned Extension
WV 972 is planned to be decommissioned and the route will become WV 93.[3] The extension will have the highway continue northward multiplexed with US 50 to New Creek, passing through the downtown farmland and continuing its northeastern trek through the mountainside. following WV 972 which curves to the north, it passes through downtown New Creek's large set of residences before intersecting with Meadowlark Acre Road and terminating at an intersection with U.S. Route 220 (Cut-Off Road).[4] This is expected to occur with the completion of US 48 into the New Creek Valley in 2013.
