Werner Damsch (22 July 1918 — 7 November 1994) was a Hauptsturmführer (Captain) in the Waffen-SS during World War II, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Werner Dansch was born on the 22 July 1918. During World War II he was commander of the I.Battalion, 25th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment, 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend, when he was awarded the Knight's Cross in April 1945. He survived the war and died on the 7 November 1994. [1][2]
