Wang Jun (genomics)
Wang Jun (王俊) is the former CEO of Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI). While at BGI, he led numerous sequencing projects like that of the giant panda and the human microbiome. In 2015, he left BGI to create an artificial intelligence health initiative based on big data of human genomes and phenotypes.[1] The new company he founded (iCarbonX) aims to offer genome sequencing to the public for free.
