WNSN
WNSN, known locally as Sunny 101.5, is an adult contemporary radio station in South Bend, Indiana. Its transmitter located at the southern portion of South Bend.
WNSN is usually the market's top rated radio station according to Nielsen.
Sunny 101.5 is the South Bend affiliate of Delilah's syndicated love-songs show. The station also plays continuous 1980s hits throughout the weekend.
The station has programmed an adult contemporary format since 1981, originally (as WTHQ) with Satellite Music Network's StarStation format. From the mid-1970s until 1981, the station was WWJY, airing Schulke's Beautiful Music package.
Longtime owner Schurz Communications announced on September 14, 2015 that it would exit broadcasting and sell its television and radio stations, including WNSN, to Gray Television for $442.5 million. The sale will separate WNSN from both the station's longtime sister newspaper, the South Bend Tribune (which Schurz will keep), and WSBT-TV (which will be sold separately due to Gray's existing ownership of WNDU-TV).[1][2] Though Gray initially intended to keep Schurz' radio stations, on November 2, it announced that Mid-West Family Broadcasting would acquire WNSN and Schurz' other South Bend radio stations for $5.5 million.[3][4][5]
