WMVN (MOViN' 100.3 and 96.5) is a Rhythmic Adult Contemporary radio station serving the Syracuse and a part of the Utica-Rome market. WMVN (licensed to Sylvan Beach, New York) operates at 100.3 MHz on the FM dial. A separate translator, W243AB, serves the city of Syracuse, New York on the 96.5 frequency (hence the "100.3 and 96.5" branding). The station is located at 401 West Kirkpatrick St, in Syracuse, NY.

History

WMVN and WMVU, which previously simulcast WOLF (AM)/WWLF (AM) as Radio Disney, flipped formats on December 6, 2006. Both comprise the tenth station to adopt the MOViN' format. The AM stations continued to carry Radio Disney programming through 2014. The station has contained some big name radio stars such as Dick Clark, Don Bombard (Bob Shannon) of WCBS FM New York, Rick Gary (formerly of WSYR-TV SYRACUSE), and Ron Bee (B104.7FM)

Prior to August 2009, the stations held the call signs WOLF-FM (96.7) and WWLF-FM (100.3). This ended when sister station FM 105.1 in De Ruyter adopted a country music format known as "The Wolf" and took the call letters for itself. The WMVN call sign had been available since January 2009, when the current WXOS in St. Louis, Missouri abandoned the Movin' format and thus the call sign.

On November 30, 2009 WMVU and WMVN (the WMVN calls moving to 100.3) split their simulcast, with 96.7 flipping to country, simulcasting WOLF-FM 105.1 FM DeRuyter, NY, with new calls WWLF-FM.

WMVN is the first station with the Movin' brand that is located east of the Mississippi River.
