History
WKKW has been on the 97.9 frequency since 1996 when the West Virginia Radio Corporation bought the Dailey Corp/Fantasia Broadcasting's Top 40 station WFGM "The Great 98". Up until that time WKKW was located on 106.5 broadcasting from Clarksburg. Magic 106.5 now occupies that frequency.
The WKKW studios are in offices of the West Virginia Radio Corporation located in the Greer building in Sabraton, WV, just outside Morgantown.
