WKET (98.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an Album Oriented Rock format. Licensed to Kettering, Ohio, USA, it serves the Kettering area. The station is currently owned by Kettering City School District and is operated by the students at Kettering Fairmont High School. It was launched in 1962, in the Hill and Dale shopping center in Kettering, OH. The studios and offices were below the ground. It was the first multiplex stereo station in the area. Initial format was classical music and news. The program manager was Charlie Meyers, who had held that position at Miami University. If I remember correctly the owner's name was Drakely but, after more than 50 years I could be mistaken.
