Visa requirements for United States citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of the United States.

In 2015, holders of a United States passport could travel to 172 countries and territories visa-free or with visa on arrival, and the United States passport was ranked 2nd (tied with Finland and Sweden) in terms of travel freedom according to the Visa Restrictions Index.[1]
