The violet wood hoopoe (Phoeniculus damarensis) is a species of bird in the Phoeniculidae family. It is found in Angola, Kenya, Namibia, and Tanzania.
Taxonomy
Grant's wood hoopoe (P. d. granti) is sometimes considered a full species.
